Part 107 Prep
A free study site and a mobile app for the FAA remote pilot certificate, the commercial drone license. Study the five knowledge areas, practice with original questions that explain every answer, and keep all of your progress on your own device.
Why we built it
Municipal drone programs are growing: inspections, mapping, storm damage surveys, public safety. Every operator needs a Part 107 certificate, and the existing prep apps are known for the same complaints in every review: typos, wrong answers, charts that do not match the question, content nobody has updated in years, and a subscription for all of it. We wrote our own question bank, reviewed it against FAA sources, dated it, and gave it away.
What it does
- Five study modulesRegulations, airspace and sectional charts, weather, loading and performance, and operations, matching the knowledge areas the FAA tests. Plus the certification process step by step and 14 CFR Part 107 section by section.
- More than 200 original questionsEvery question has an explanation and a reference. The practice sectional chart is fictional but drawn correctly, so chart questions actually match the chart.
- Practice exams that work like the real oneA full 60-question timed exam in the FAA's proportions, a 20-question quick check, topic quizzes, scoring at 70 percent, category breakdown, and review of every miss.
- A daily goal you pickFive, ten, twenty, or thirty questions a day. Questions and flashcards both count, and finishing a module counts in full.
- A forgiving streakTwo freezes cover missed days automatically, and you earn one back every seven days. A lost streak simply restarts; there is no shaming.
- Spaced reviewA missed question comes back tomorrow; a correct one moves out 1, 3, 7, 14, 30, then 60 days. The daily plan shows what is due.
- Never lose a testAn exam in progress is saved after every answer. A phone call does not cost you 40 minutes of work.
- Nothing leaves your phoneNo account, no server, no analytics. All progress is stored on the device, and we never see it.
Accuracy
Content was reviewed against FAA sources in October 2026, and the content date is shown inside the app. Regulations change, so confirm anything you rely on for a real flight against the current 14 CFR Part 107 and FAA guidance. Corrections are welcome through the support channel. Part 107 Prep is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the FAA.
